Inspired by the sounds of tribal guarachero coming out of Mexico together with the eminent danger of the Mayan calendar coming to an end the Emmy Award winning world music group Battle for Athens brings you Fighting the Mayans. This album explores the sounds of Mexican tribal guarachero and reworks them by infusing dubstep and trap beats as well as a jazzy Italian love ballad.
